Hello.
Seven months ago, I made the decision to finally cave and buy the workout program I had been secretly wanting for over two years. I would secretly search the program, learning anything and everything that I could to see if it was worth investing in. I went so far as learning the background of the creator, Autumn Calabrese. I remember realizing on my birthday that ever since I was in high school I would tell myself, “This year I’m going to get healthy” and yet I would never do it. I was 23 years old, overweight and incredibly unhappy with myself. I was still unhappy, still overweight, and still disgusted with myself. I got up the courage to ask my boyfriend to get me the program for my birthday. I told him that he knew how badly I wanted to get in shape, and that I promised to be committed and do every single day of the program. He bought me the program, telling me that he loves me no matter what.
That program was 21 Day Fix. And that program changed my life.
In six weeks, I managed to lose six pounds and eight inches off my entire body. And ever since, I’ve been hooked to the programs. I told myself back in May when I was starting 21 Day Fix for the first time that I wanted to end the year a lot stronger and to have maintained a constant fitness regime from that moment forward. For the most part, I’ve done just that. I’ve struggled to get through programs, and some of them I’ve been unable to complete. There were times where I didn’t workout for a week straight, and other times where I was so dedicated, I lived and breathed sweat. My diet isn’t perfect, but it’s so much better. I’m not worrying about whether I’m eating enough and I’m confident that the foods I’m eating are good for me.
We have three weeks left of 2016. That’s a little crazy to think about. But with three weeks left, I thought that there was no better way to end the year strong than by doing another round of the program that started it all. I’ll workout from now until the end of the year, welcoming in 2017 with a sweat sesh.
A toast, to saying “Yes” to bettering myself and becoming the “me” I’ve always wanted.
Here’s to ending 2016 strong!

Hello + Welcome!

Hello!
My name is Sharayah Jennifer and I am the author and fitness nerd behind this blog! I am so excited to get this site up and running, because it’s been a goal of mine for a long time.
As you can tell by the title, I am a lover of all things fitness. For me, fitness is a way of life, not a fad or a seasonal thing. However, this change is fairly recent. In May of this year, I started 21 Day Fix, an at-home fitness program created by trainer Autumn Calabrese. After six weeks (or two rounds) of the program I went from a size 14 jeans to a size 6!! And in the process, I rediscovered my love for being active.
Now, I’m studying and reading up on the latest health and fitness information, and doing my best to carve my way through the huge fitness industry, and make a name for myself. I intend to be the next Autumn Calabrese. Haha.
The things you can discover here will be a wide array of all things health and fitness. I’ll share with you healthy recipes, stretches, fitness tips, as well as sharing with you my journey to getting the body I’ve always wanted, as well as documenting my experiences doing different programs. I will also share bits and pieces of my life because I am human! I’m really excited about all of this, because the bottom line is at the end of the day, I want to inspire someone else to give fitness a try.
I know what it’s like to be overweight and unhappy with your body. I know what it’s like to struggle through workouts, and I remember how frustrating it was when I discovered that jumping was really hard for me. There’s so much to my story, and I will tell it to you in due time. But for now, I just want to welcome you to my site.
I really look forward to building a relationship with you, and inspiring you to become the best version you can be.
